Budget Date Announced

Finance Minister Michael Baker today, April 24, announced he will introduce the government's 2008-09 budget in the House of Assembly on Tuesday, April 29 beginning at about 2 p.m.

"We continue to keep Nova Scotia on a sound financial footing, while promoting the priorities of Nova Scotians," said Mr. Baker. "This will be Nova Scotia's seventh consecutive balanced budget, and the government will once again meet its commitment to debt reduction."
