Crossing the Harbour Now More Efficient
Bridge tolling at the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission continues to evolve to better serve bridge users.
After an application to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board last year, the commission received approval to eliminate tokens, move to axle-based tolling and remove the $30 deposit for MACPASS transponders.
Beginning April 1, tokens will no longer be sold. As of May 1, token will not longer be accepted as payment at toll boths. Refunds will be offered for unused tokens until Aug. 1.
A detailed news release on the change in tolling can be found on the bridge commission website at www.hdbc.ns.ca .
