New Name and Look for Film Corporation
The crown corporation responsible for supporting the province's film and new media industry has a new name -- Film Nova Scotia.
Over the past several months, the corporation, formerly known as the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation, used input from employees, board members and industry stakeholders, to establish the new brand which includes a new name, logo and branding guidelines.
"I am thrilled to present this new brand to our stakeholders," said Ann MacKenzie, CEO of Film Nova Scotia. "I truly believe that it encompasses who we are, what we do and where we are headed as an important resource for, and a promoter of, Nova Scotia's film, television and new media industry."
A complete roll out of Film Nova Scotia's corporate identity will be occurring in the coming months.
"We take great pride in unveiling this new look," said Bonnie Kirby, chair of the corporation's board. "We believe it is the ideal image to represent the corporation in the future as we showcase Nova Scotia's film, television and new media industry."
Film Nova Scotia is a provincial Crown corporation reporting to the minister of economic development. The corporation provides a wide range of programs and services to build the capacity and competitiveness of the province's film, television and new media industries.
