46th Annual Highland Village Day Concert

Highland Village Museum will host an exciting line-up of entertainers at its 46th annual Là Mór a'Chlachain/Highland Village Day Concert on Saturday, Aug. 4.

Visitors can celebrate Cape Breton's Scottish Gaelic music and culture with a day-long outdoor concert of fiddling, piping, step-dancing and Gaelic singing.

Highland Village animators Keith and Kyle MacDonald, with brother Colin, will open the show, followed by some of Cape Breton's most recognized performers and up-and-coming musicians. Entertainers include Iona Gaelic Singers, Paul K. MacNeil, Tracey Dares, Donnie Campbell, Mary Jane Lamond, Kim Fraser, Brent and Leanne Aucoin. There will also be a special tribute to the late John Allan Cameron. MCs for the concert are Joe Murphy and Jenna MacNeil.

Highland Village Day is allows the whole family to come out for music, fellowship, and a Cape Breton good time. The show runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, and free for children 12 or younger.
