Government Surplus Auction Saturday

Anyone wanting to build a glass house can pick up all the glass blocks they will need at the provincial government surplus auction, Saturday, July 28.

The auction will include about 1,300 glass blocks salvaged from the old Nova Scotia Community College building on Bell Road in Halifax. Also included will be several motor vehicles and trailers, numerous extension and step ladders, apartment-sized refrigerators, snowblowers, lawn-maintenance equipment, office furniture, and electronic equipment such as cellphones and fax machines.

The auction will be held at the Transportation and Public Works' warehouse at 10 Acadia St., Dartmouth at 10 a.m. Items can be viewed between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The auction will be conducted by A&A Auctioneering. Payment must be cash or auctioneer-approved cheque. Credit cards or debit cards will not be accepted.

Money earned in this auction is used to help pay down the provincial debt.
