Annual Statements of Political Contributions for 2006 Available

The annual statements of political contributions for 2006 are now available.

The statements are filed by the four recognized political parties, their electoral district associations and candidates in the last general election. The statements disclose the names and addresses of all contributors who donated more than $50 during the 2006 calendar year. Also included with the statements are the annual reports of the recognized political parties summarizing official income tax receipts issued for 2006.

Disclosure is made by Christine McCulloch, chief electoral officer and designated person in accordance with the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act.

The statements are available on the Elections Nova Scotia website electionsnovascotia.ns.ca/politicalcontributions.asp or from the Elections Nova Scotia office at 3667 Strawberry Hill St., Halifax, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
