Community Information Sessions

The Office of African Nova Scotian Affairs is holding its second series of information sessions in African Nova Scotian communities across the province.

These sessions are designed to inform the community about the office, its current programs and future plans.

"It's important for our office to visit the communities we represent on a regular basis to present new programs, let them know what we have been up to on their behalf and give them an overview of our future goals and projects," said Wayn Hamilton, CEO.

The following sessions are being held in African Nova Scotian communities this week:

Monday, May 28

  • Yarmouth: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Greenville Community Centre., 724 Greenville Rd.

Tuesday, May 29

  • Whitney Pier, Cape Breton Co.: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Menelik Hall, 88 Laurier St.
  • Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co.: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Annapolis Royal Fire Hall, 5 Anthony St.

Wednesday, May 30

  • New Waterford, Cape Breton Co,: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., New Waterford Fire Hall, 3336 Walsh Ave.
  • Weymouth, Digby Co.: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Weymouth Consolidated School, 4695 Highway 1

Thursday, May 31

  • Glace Bay, Cape Breton Co.: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., UNIA Hall, 35 Jessome St.
