Provincial Budget on March 23

Finance Minister Michael Baker today, March 21, announced he will introduce the government's 2007-08 budget in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly on Friday, March 23, beginning at about 1 p.m.

"Our focus remains making the right choices for Nova Scotians, now and in the future," said Mr. Baker.

The minister said living within our means is key, and will be tabling Nova Scotia's sixth consecutive balanced budget, which includes following through on the province's debt reduction plan.

Nova Scotians can watch the minister deliver the budget address on EastLink Digital Cable channel 95 and on the Internet at www.gov.ns.ca .
