Rate Change for Digby Neck Ferries
Starting Saturday, Feb. 10, Digby Neck ferry users will pay the same $25 for a book of 20 tickets that is paid by ferry users in the rest of the province.
An announcement in December of new fares for provincially operated ferries incorrectly stated that the rates of discount ticket books would stay the same across the province in 2007.
The price increase means Digby Neck ferry users will now pay 25 cents more per ticket. But all ferry users can take advantage of the new reduced rate for annual passes, which has dropped from $250 per year to $150 per year.
Ticket books purchased at the old price will continue to be honoured. The ticket books can be used on all provincially owned ferries, with the exception of the Tancook Ferry.
