Ernie Fage Resigns From Cabinet

Premier Rodney MacDonald today, Jan. 4, accepted the resignation of Ernie Fage from executive council, and has appointed Carolyn Bolivar-Getson as acting Minister Responsible for the Public Service Commission, acting Minister of Human Resources and acting Minister of Emergency Management.

"Mr. Fage was involved in a car accident on Nov. 24 in Halifax," the premier said. "Mr. Fage did not want this incident to be a distraction from his job or from the work of government, so he offered his resignation and I have accepted."

Mr. Fage will remain MLA for Cumberland North.
