Premier to Host Rally in Support of Canadian Military

Premier Rodney MacDonald today, Nov. 2, invited all Nova Scotians to a military appreciation rally in support of Canadian Forces personnel and their families.

The rally will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 3 p.m. on Granville Street between George Street and Prince Street in Halifax.

"Each and every day, brave men and women of the Canadian Forces help shape our communities and help shape a safer, more stable world community," said Premier MacDonald. "The military appreciation rally is an opportunity for Nova Scotians to demonstrate to these men, women and their families how grateful we are for their hard work, dedication and sacrifice."

There are about 14,500 military personnel, reservists and civilian employees in Nova Scotia.

The rally will take place rain or shine.
