Province Wraps Up School Closure Review

Consultations to review the current school closure process will wrap up this week. The deadline for sending written submissions is midnight, Tuesday, Oct. 31.

"It is important that everyone has an opportunity to have input into the review of this process," said Education Minister Karen Casey.

The review is being undertaken to ensure that school closure processes continue to meet the needs of students, the education system and communities. Public meetings were held in communities across Nova Scotia in September and October.

The Department of Education has posted a discussion paper and electronic response form to help support the dialogue on its website at www.ednet.ns.ca.
