Improved Sign Gives Clear Direction to Motorists

The Department of Transportation and Public Works is erecting a new sign informing motorists that Exit 15 (Truro) is the only exit to the South Shore and the Annapolis Valley. This will be similar to the existing sign advising travellers that it is the only exit to Halifax.

The additional sign will be particularly helpful to visitors by giving them information on all available options they can choose from when travelling along Highway 104.

"Providing safe, efficient and smooth roads and highways is a key goal for the department," said Transportation and Public Works Minister Angus MacIsaac. "Clear signs that give motorists as much information as possible will enhance the overall driving experience of both tourists and all Nova Scotians."

Government is investing more than $200 million over 10 years to expand the 100-series highways that form the main arteries for travel in Nova Scotia.
