MacLennan Bridge on Route 395 at Gillisdale will be closed today, Sept. 1, for repairs.

KINGS COUNTY: Black Rock Road

Black Rock Road from Trunk 1 to Route 221 will be reduced to one lane for patching and re-paving from Tuesday, Sept. 5, to Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to a half hour after sunset.

KINGS COUNTY: West Brooklyn Road

West Brooklyn Road over Highway 101 will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 5, to Saturday, March 31, 2007. This is to allow for the removal and replacement of the existing overpass.

PICTOU COUNTY: Trenton Connector

The Trenton connector from Highway 106 to Abercrombie Road is reduced to one lane for micro sealing from Tuesday, Sept. 5, to Friday Sept. 15.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Kennedy Bridge

The Kennedy Bridge on Waldec Line Road is closed until Friday, Sept. 8, for repairs.

Detour routes are available on Trunk 1 via the Burns Hill Road and from Shaw Road to Clementsport Road and then to Trunk 1.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Ohio Cross Iron Bridge

The Ohio Cross Iron Bridge on the Ohio West Road over the Ohio River is closed for replacement until Friday, Dec. 15.

A detour is available on Ohio Cross Road.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Beaver Meadow Road

To allow for repaving, Beaver Meadow Road will be reduced to one lane from the intersection of Trunk 4 at James River for 3.2 kilometres to the intersection of Mill Road.

The work will take place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 31. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 125, Trunk 4

Highway 125, Trunk 4 in Sydney River will have a single-lane closure for paving until Saturday, Sept. 30.

Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Motorists should expect delays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and are advised to use alternate routes.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4

Lane closures will be required on Trunk 4 between Victoria Junction and Gardiner Road to allow for repaving.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 31. This is a four-lane section, so one lane will always be open in each direction. Drivers should reduce speed and drive with extra caution in the construction zone.

Trunk 4 will be reduced to one lane from the church in East Bay for 3.5 kilometres to the west to allow for repaving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Route 209 will be reduced to one lane from 2.1 kilometres east of Fox Point Road for three kilometres to the east for repaving until Sunday, Sept. 3.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by a traffic control person. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Traffic on Trunk 2 will be reduced to one lane for repaving from Fort Lawrence Road to the Amherst Town Line.

Molasses Harbour Bridge on Route 316 in Port Felix is reduced to one lane for repairs until Thursday, Nov. 30. Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals or traffic control persons.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 103

Highway 103 at Exit 5 will be under construction for gravelling and paving until Saturday, Sept. 30. A reduced speed limit of 80 km/h is posted for the duration of the project.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 118-Wright Avenue Interchange

Between the intersection at Highway 111 and the airport, Highway 118 will have intermittent lane closures in both directions for interchange construction.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Wyse Road Bridge

Wyse Road Bridge in Middle Musquodoboit will be closed to truck traffic while the bridge is being repaired. Trucks will detour via Route 356 and Route 213 until further notice. Traffic control consists of signs.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102

The northbound lanes of Highway 102 from Exit 9 to Exit 10 near Shubenacadie will have one-lane closures for paving.

The work will take place from sunrise to sunset until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Traffic control will consist of traffic barrels and signs. Speed reductions in the work zone will be enforced. Drivers should expect slower travel through the work zone.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Highway 105

Two sections on Highway 105 will be reduced to one lane until Monday, Sept. 11, to allow for road surfacing. The sections are from the Marsh Bridge at Skye River, near Whycocomagh, east for 4.9 kilometres, and near Blues Mills from 0.5 kilometres west of Big Marsh Road east, to 3.1 kilometres east.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic control persons and guided through the work zone by a pilot vehicle.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: River Inhabitants Road and Cenotaph Road

River Inhabitants Road from Highway 105 at Exit 2, southerly for 8.4 kilometres to the intersection at Cenotaph Road, and Cenotaph Road, from River Inhabitants Road about 2.5 kilometres east through the Village of West Bay Road, will have a one-lane closure until Tuesday, Oct. 31, for repaving.

The Gaspereau Road will be closed until Saturday, Sept. 30, to allow for the replacement of the Minor Bridge over Curry Brook.

KINGS COUNTY: Old Baxters Mill Bridge Weight Restrictions

The Old Baxters Mill Bridge, near Baxters Harbour is open to one lane of traffic. Vehicles weighing more than 5,000 kilograms are restricted from using the bridge.

KINGS COUNTY: Trunk 1

Trunk 1 will be reduced to one lane from the intersection of Route 358, for 1.6 kilometres to the intersection of Deep Hollow Road, to allow for repaving. Work will take place until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Big Gut Bridge on Route 348 between Hillside and Pictou Landing is closed due to fire damage.

Alternate routes are available on Change Harbour Road or Egypt Road.

Toney River Bridge on Carmichael Road is closed until further notice. Traffic control consists of signs. Detours are available on Poplar Hill Road and Meadowville Station Road.

Durham Bridge, located on Green Hill Road and Route 376, will be closed for replacement until Monday, Oct. 30.

Motorists are advised to follow detour signs.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104

Highway 104 is reduced to one lane due to construction at the Broadway overpass between New Glasgow and Antigonish until Friday, Sept. 8.

Traffic is controlled by automatic signals, however, delays may occur during peak travel times. Signs are in place marking an alternate route on Trunk 4 between Exit 27 at Sutherlands River and Exit 29 at Barneys River. Use of this alternate route is recommended.

Route 245 will be reduced to one lane from the intersection of Browns Mill Road northeasterly for 5.8 kilometres until Tuesday, Oct. 31, to allow for repaving.

PICTOU COUNTY: Thorburn Road Overpass Structure

The Thorburn Road overpass structure at Exit 26 on Highway 104 will occasionally have a reduced speed limit due to shoulder work until Friday, Dec. 15.

Drivers are asked to reduce speed and watch for construction equipment and personnel when passing through the area. The Department of Transportation and Public Works is requesting that motorists using Route 347 use an alternate route.
