"Improving and expanding our roads and highways is key to ensuring the economic and social well-being of Nova Scotians," said Angus MacIsaac, Minister of Transportation and Public Works. "We are working together with municipal governments to ensure Nova Scotians have better and increased road access."
Paving of many roads within subdivisions is part of a 50-50 program that is cost-shared by the Department of Transportation and Public Works and the municipalities. The program is designed to help municipalities with the cost of paving roads within their subdivisions.
