Cape Breton Waterfalls Slide Show at Highland Village
Nova Scotia Highland Village museum in Iona will host the first presentation in its Seòmbar an t-Samhraidh (The Summer Room) lecture series on Wednesday, July 26 at 7 p.m.
Air Lorg nan Eas: Chasing Waterfalls, is an evening of slides and narration on the magnificent and often remote waterfalls of Cape Breton Island. Guest presenter for the evening will be Wally Ellison of Inverness County.
Mr. Ellison, a geography expert and photographer, is well known for high quality slide shows and talks on the landscapes of Cape Breton and Highlands of Scotland. His presentation on Cape Breton waterfalls is based on years of travel by foot and plane to photograph the natural beauty of cascading falls found off Cape Breton's beaten track.
Accompanied by an informed narrative, viewers will see some of the most picturesque waterfall locations that Cape Breton has to offer. Air Lorg nan Eas also features Mr. Ellison on bagpipes, entertaining with Scottish tunes.
Programming will be held in the Tuning Room at the rear of the Highland Village concert stage.
Admission is free and all ages are welcome. For more information, call Highland Village at 902-725-2272.
