Government to Auction Off Surplus Items
Nova Scotia bargain hunters will have the opportunity to buy a wide variety of government surplus items at an auction on Saturday, April 8.
In addition to an assortment of cellphones and construction equipment, summer bargain hunters are sure to find something useful for the cottage whether it be yard gear, refrigerators, or canoes.
The auction will be held at the Department of Transportation and Public Works' warehouse at 10 Acadia St. in Dartmouth at 10 a.m. The items can be viewed between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
The auction will be conducted by A&A Auctioneering. Payment must be made by cash or auctioneer-approved cheque. Credit cards or debit cards will not be accepted.
A link to a partial list, with photos, is posted on the front page of the Department of Transportation and Public Works' website at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/.
Money earned in the auction is used to pay down the provincial debt.
