Road Weight Restrictions Removed in Nine Counties

Weight restrictions will be removed from roads in nine central and southwestern Nova Scotia counties effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, April 7.

The counties are Yarmouth, Shelburne, Digby, Annapolis, Queens, Kings, Lunenburg, Halifax, and Hants. Please note that the Department of Transportation and Public Works may still have individual roads posted for lower weights in the above counties.

Restrictions will remain in effect in the following counties until further notice: Cumberland, Colchester, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough, Richmond, Victoria, Inverness, and Cape Breton.
