Road Weight Restrictions Return Wednesday

Road weight restrictions will be back in effect in all Nova Scotia counties at 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, March 8, until further notice.

The Department of Transportation and Public Works places restrictions on heavy truck traffic to help protect roads weakened by mild, wet weather, and to ensure safe driving conditions.

Transportation and Public Works staff are monitoring the roads daily to determine if and when weight restrictions are needed.
