Office of the Ombudsman To Hold Meet and Greets

Nova Scotians in the Amherst, Yarmouth and Sydney areas will have the opportunity to learn more about the Office of the Ombudsman.

Representatives from the Ombudsman's office will be available to talk about the role of the Ombudsman in Nova Scotia. Arrangements can be made for people to meet privately with a representative of the office.

"We understand that it's not always possible for those from around the province who want to use our services to come to our Halifax office," said Ombudsman Dwight Bishop. "By going out into communities we are offering people easier access to information and our services."

The meet and greets will be held between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The dates and locations are as follows:

Friday, Feb. 17 Amherst Centre Mall, 142 Albion St., Amherst

Monday, Feb. 27 Yarmouth Centre Mall, 76 Starrs Rd., Yarmouth

Wednesday, Mar. 22 Mayflower Mall, 800 Grand Lake Rd., Sydney

The Office of the Ombudsman is an independent agency with a mission to promote the principles of fairness, integrity and good governance. Its services are provided free of charge.
