Order of Nova Scotia Ceremony to be Broadcast Live

Nova Scotians interested in taking in the 2005 Order of Nova Scotia investiture ceremony will be able to watch it live on television and the Internet.

Legislative Television will broadcast the ceremony in areas of the province serviced by EastLink Television. It will be available on EastLink channels 10 and 95, beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

This year's Order of Nova Scotia recipients are:

  • Constance Glube, Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality
  • Rita MacNeil, Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality
  • Theresa McNeil, Upper Granville, Annapolis Co.
  • Cyril Reddy, New Glasgow, Pictou Co. (posthumous)
  • Jack Yazer, Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality

Rita MacNeil will not be able to attend the ceremony.

The ceremony will also be available live on the provincial government website at www.gov.ns.ca (under the Government section on the right, link will be called Order of Nova Scotia Ceremony).
