Partners in Transportation Workshop
Agri-food and seafood processors and exporters will be among the people discussing how to get Nova Scotia products to market more efficiently during a workshop being hosted by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries on Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Truro.
"This workshop will identify the food industry's transportation challenges, constraints and concerns," said Chris d'Entremont, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries. "It's the first step in finding efficiencies together."
The Partners in Transportation workshop will be held, free of charge, at the Best Western Glengarry Hotel in Truro. To register, participants are asked to fill out a form and survey on the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries' website at www.gov.ns.ca/nsaf/mbd/transport.shtml or call 902-424-0333.
This one-day session will take place before another workshop that is being sponsored by the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce and the Colchester Regional Development Agency. That workshop is called Partners in Trade, and is being presented as part of a conference on Growing the Atlantic Economy: The Transportation Factor, being held from Nov. 2 to Nov. 4 in Truro.
