Grand Opening of Provincial Building in Granville Ferry

Annapolis County residents will have access to employment supports, income assistance, and services for families and children at a new provincial building in Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co.

The Department of Community Services and Family and Children's Services of Annapolis County held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, Oct. 5, in celebration of the official opening.

"This new building will help our staff, and the staff of Family and Children's Services, provide quality services to local residents right in their own community," said David Morse, Minister of Community Services. "The Granville Ferry provincial building will be an inviting place for our clients and the community to access these programs."

Community Services staff will offer employment support and income assistance programs to local residents. Family and Children's Services of Annapolis County will provide child welfare services.

The new building presents an opportunity for Community Services and the agency to work more closely together to assist families and the community as a whole.

The new offices are located at 5495 Granville Rd., Granville Ferry, close to the Bay of Fundy. The modern, one-storey building is more than 5,500 square feet in size and provides working and meeting space for 27 staff and their clients.
