South Carolina Buyers Visit

Nova Scotia businesses will have an opportunity to showcase their wares and expand their export markets this week when buyers from the construction, seafood, defence and renewable energy industries visit from South Carolina.

The incoming buyers arrive today, Aug. 15, for a trade mission from Tuesday, Aug. 16 to Friday, Aug. 19.

"Exporters have the opportunity to pitch and sell their offerings to strategically aligned buyers through meetings, business tours, and networking events," said Stephen Lund, president and CEO of Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI). "Buyers will experience first-hand the people and factors that make this province such an outstanding place to do business."

NSBI is leading the mission in co-operation with the Atlantic Canada World Trade Centre, a business unit of Trade Centre Limited.

South Carolina buyers apply and are selected to participate in the mission based on their purchasing requirements. Meetings are then organized between the buyers and appropriate Nova Scotia company participants.

Nova Scotia Business Inc. is the business development agency for Nova Scotia, led by a private-sector board of directors. It is the investment attraction arm of the province and helps companies in Nova Scotia meet their growth potential through business advisory, export development and financing services.
