Southwest Nova Health District Seeks Input on Health Services
Residents in the Southwest Nova health district are being asked for their input on how the province delivers continuing-care services to infants, children, youth, adults and seniors.
"It's important we hear from all Nova Scotians on this important health-care issue," said Health Minister Angus MacIsaac. "The input we receive will help us build a better system."
Continuing-care services include home care, nursing homes, end-of-life care, adult day centres, adult protection, and other services that support people of all ages living in the community.
More than 50 public meetings will be held throughout the province during June and July. Public input and additional research will be used to develop short- and long-term plans for continuing-care services.
The public meetings in Southwest Nova will be held on June 28 in Digby and Clare, June 29 in Argyle and Yarmouth, and June 30 in Shelburne.
More information about continuing care and a schedule of public meetings is available on the Department of Health website at www.gov.ns.ca/healthwww.gov.ns.ca/health
