Pay for Performance Details Online

The government of Nova Scotia has released its 2003-04 performance payments awards to senior officials and ministers' executive assistants ahead of schedule.

The information is posted on the Treasury and Policy Board website at www.gov.ns.ca/tpb

Pay-for-performance information for 2002-03 was released in July 2004 and Human Resources Minister Carolyn Bolivar-Getson promised to include performance payments in the Supplement to the Public Accounts.

"The government released this information online a year ahead of when the 2004-05 Supplement to the Public Accounts will be published," Treasury and Policy Board chair Michael Baker said today, April 29. "It's a sign of our commitment to open and accountable government."

The pay-for-performance policy for senior officials came into effect in 2002.
