ENVIRONMENT AND LABOUR--Minister Calls Parties Back to Bargaining Table

Environment and Labour Minister Kerry Morash has asked provincial conciliators today, April 14, to call the parties involved in the Cape Breton-Victoria regional school board strike in Cape Breton back to the bargaining table.

Members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 5050, have been on a legal strike since April 3.

The minister has asked conciliators to arrange a meeting as soon as possible to assess the situation and to attempt to help the parties reach an agreement.
