Highway 101 Traffic Advisory

Due to extreme hazardous storm conditions, the Department of Transportation and Public Works is removing all snow-clearing units from Highway 101, between Mount Uniacke and Bear River, effective immediately.

Snow plows and trucks are being diverted to secondary trunks and routes in western Nova Scotia where they will continue snow-clearing efforts in the event they have to respond to an emergency.

Motorists are advised that visibility is extremely low on this stretch of Highway 101.

Snow-clearing units will be back on Highway 101 as soon as conditions permit.
