NSLC Improves Pricing Clarity
The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) has changed the way it displays the prices on its products.
Effective immediately, all NSLC products will feature before tax prices, with taxes and bottle deposits shown separately, the corporation announced today, Jan. 4.
Under the new system, the price of a case of beer is displayed as $14.60. HST of $2.19 and bottle deposit of $1.20 is shown separately, for a total of $17.99. Prior to this change, the price was displayed simply as $17.99.
The change in the way prices are displayed will not result in price increases, but will provide clearer information for consumers.
The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation provides world class selection and service of beverage alcohol through the operation of 104 retail and seven agency stores throughout the province. By providing superior customer convenience and service, the NSLC returns substantial revenue to the provincial government while ensuring the responsible enjoyment of beverage alcohol in Nova Scotia.
