Sherbrooke Christmas Venue Change
The closing event for Old Fashioned Christmas in Sherbrooke -- scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. -- has been moved to St. James Presbyterian Church in Sherbrooke Village.
A Nova Scotia Christmas, featuring stories and songs by folklorist Clary Croft, had originally been scheduled for the Sherbrooke Courthouse. Early ticket sales indicated that the courthouse would have quickly filled to capacity.
While the Courthouse is regarded as one of Nova Scotia's best sounding venues, the acoustics at St. James Church are excellent as well. The church also allows better access, superior sight lines and has more than twice the capacity of the courthouse.
Clary Croft will be joined by Gordon Stobbe and Margo Carruthers for the event. Tickets are $13 in advance and $16 at the door.
