Cease and Desist Order

The Labour Relations Board announced today, Nov. 1, that is has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage which commenced today.

The illegal work stoppage occurred at TrentonWorks Limited in Trenton, Pictou Co. These employees are represented by United Steel Workers of America, Local 1231.

The complaint filed today requests that the board issue a cease and desist order against United Steel Workers of America, Local 1231 and striking members of Local 1231 who are participating in the illegal work stoppage.

The board has issued an interim order directing the members participating in an illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
