Board to Hold Public Hearings
The Nova Scotia Insurance Review Board will hold public hearings on Tuesday, Nov. 9, on an application from the Facility Association with respect to proposed rates and risk classification systems.
Members of the public can take part in the hearing in one of two ways:
- by making a written application to the board for intervener status on or before Oct. 20;
- by filing a written submission with the board on or before Nov. 2, and indicating whether they wish to make an oral presentation.
Interveners are permitted to participate in the legal proceedings to varying degrees as determined by the board. Those who make written or oral submissions are not considered interveners and would not actively participate in the process, other than by making an oral presentation.
The hearings will be held in room 7F, 5151 Terminal Rd., Halifax, beginning at 8:30 a.m. They will continue, if required, on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 8:30 a.m.
Written applications and submissions can be sent to the board by e-mail to [email protected] , by fax to 902-428-5781, or by mail to the Nova Scotia Insurance Review Board, P.O. Box 697, Halifax, N.S., B3J 2T8.
