Off-highway Report Scheduled for November
VOLUNTARY PLANNING BOARD--Off-highway Report Scheduled for November
The final report and recommendations of the Voluntary Planning Board's task force on off-highway vehicle use in Nova Scotia will be released in early November.
An interim report was released last spring. There was a high level of public interest, so the period for comments and submissions on that report was extended to the end of July. Nearly 2,000 responses to the interim report arrived between March and the end of July.
"The board thanks the task force members who contributed so much to this project and all who participated in these consultations," said Teresa MacNeil, acting chair of the Voluntary Planning Board. The volunteer task force members have collectively contributed about 1,000 work days to the project.
Voluntary Planning -- Nova Scotia's Citizens' Policy Forum -- operates at arm's length from the provincial government. Members participate on task forces, project teams and sector committees.
