TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--New Pavement for Lunenburg and Kings Counties
Travellers in Lunenburg and Kings counties will have new pavement to drive on this fall.
The province has advertised a tender for repaving more than eight kilometres of Trunk 12.
"These improvements mean improved service to the communities served by Trunk 12," said Ron Russell, Minister of Transportation and Public Works. "Improved roads benefit all Nova Scotians and strengthen our infrastructure."
In Lunenburg County, Trunk 12 from the Forties Road in New Ross southerly, about 5.3 kilometres, will be repaved. In Kings County, Trunk 12 from the Lunenburg County line northerly to Legge Road, about three kilometres, will be repaved.
The tender closes on Friday, Aug. 20. Work is expected to be completed by Sunday, Oct. 31.
