Get Hooked on Nova Scotia Seafood
If you are looking for new and delicious ways to barbecue seafood this summer, look no further. Fresh barbecued Nova Scotia seafood will be prepared by chefs from the 44 North restaurant and offered free to the public each weekend in July.
The Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Fisheries will host a summer seafood barbecue promotion in conjunction with 44 North at Casino Nova Scotia Hotel and the Taste of Nova Scotia Society. The promotion will feature different seafood each weekend, including salmon, halibut, swordfish and shark. A collection of Taste of Nova Scotia recipes will also be provided to the public.
"Nova Scotia is known throughout the world for its fabulous seafood," said Chris d'Entremont, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries. "This promotion is a great opportunity to learn tips from experts on how to prepare seafood, increase domestic consumption and get Nova Scotians hooked on our products."
The promotion will run every Saturday and Sunday from July 3 to July 25 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the 44 North patio, located on the harbour side of Casino Nova Scotia Hotel.
