NEW WORK
COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 102
There will be intermittent lane closures on two sections of Highway 102 from Tuesday, May 25 to Tuesday, Aug. 31. Traffic traveling in northbound lanes will be affected periodically while repaving is carried out. Work will take place daily between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Section 1 begins 1.3 km north of Commo Road near Stewiacke and stretches 5.3 km to Shorts Lake Road Multiplate near Brookfield.
Section 2 begins from the north side of Robie Structure near Truro and stretches 3.4 km to the intersection of Highway 102 and Highway 104.
Traffic control will consist of signage and motorists are asked to use extra caution while driving in these areas.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Highway 204
There will be closures on the northbound lane of Highway 204 from Wednesday, May 26 to Friday, June 11. The closures will begin from Brookside Elementary School and extend 1 km to the Nappan River.
Road crews will be carrying out excavation work at the edge of the highway between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons.

CONTINUING WORK
ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104
Motorists are advised that there will be one-lane closures on Highway 104 until Wednesday, June 30. The closure will begin near Exit 31A at Antigonish and extend 4.2 kilometres west. Both directions of traffic will be affected periodically. This is to allow road crews to carry out guardrail installation and asphalt repaving.
The closure will be in effect between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Traffic control will consist of a pilot vehicle and motorists are asked to use extra caution when driving in this area.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Barra Strait Bridge
Clearance for marine traffic will be restricted under the Barra Strait Bridge at Grand Narrows until Wednesday, June 30. A painting project is being carried out and the lift span will not be in operation. Larger marine vessels will not be able to pass underneath the bridge during this period.
The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
Motorists should expect short delays. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Highway 105
Motorists are advised that there will be full lane closures on Highway 105 between Groves Point Road and the Highway 125 interchange near Halfway Road until Wednesday, June 30. Both directions of traffic will be affected periodically while road crews carry out cold planing and asphalt paving.
Most of the work will take place between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. weekdays and between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. weekends.
Alternative routes will be available for local traffic only via Route 305 or the Georges River Road. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons.
Motorists should expect short delays during these times and are asked to use extra caution when driving in this area.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Route 209
Motorists are advised that Route 209, from North Greville Road westerly, will be reduced to one lane until further notice.
Road crews will be carrying out ditching and repaving work between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Various locations
There will be lane closures on various trunks, routes and local roads in Cumberland County until Wednesday, June 30. During this period, road crews will be carrying out paving, shouldering and gravel patching.
Work will take place between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays and a single lane will be open at all times during construction.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 101
There will be occasional lane closures on Highway 101 near the Old Sackville Road underpass until Friday, May 28. Road crews will be carrying out bridge facilitation work between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Both directions of traffic will be affected for short periods of time only.
Traffic control will consist of barriers and motorists are asked to exercise extra caution while driving in this area.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 103
Blasting will take place on Highway 103, at exits 3 and 4, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. until September 2004. Both eastbound and westbound motorists may experience short delays. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Cabot Trail (Trunk 30)
Motorists are advised that there will be one-lane closures on the Cabot Trail (Trunk 30) until Wednesday, June 30, while repaving work is being carried out. The closures will begin at Point de Havre Road in Cheticamp and extend north to Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
The closures will be in effect weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Both directions of traffic will be affected periodically.
Traffic control will be in place and motorists are asked to use extra caution while driving in this area.

HANTS COUNTY: Elmsdale Bridge
Elmsdale Bridge on Trunk 2 between Elmsdale and Lantz is closed until September 2004. A detour is available around the bridge. Traffic control consists of a detour sign.
