Spring weight restrictions will be lifted provincewide on Monday, May 3.

Weight restrictions may remain in effect on some gravel roads depending on local conditions.

The weight restrictions were lifted on roads in Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby counties and the Region of Queens Municipality on April 28.

Spring weight restrictions came into effect on March 10. The restrictions for trucks are announced each year during spring thaw to help protect roads that are weakened by wet, mild weather.
