Public Feedback Deadline Extended
Nova Scotians will have more time to submit their comments on a Voluntary Planning interim report on off-highway vehicle use.
Voluntary Planning has announced a further extension of the deadline for public input. The public now has until Friday, July 30 to submit comments. The deadline had originally been extended to March 31.
"The public is very concerned about off highway vehicle use," said David Bellefontaine, chair of Voluntary Planning. "We want to be sure everyone has plenty of time and opportunity to consider all sides of this matter and make their views known to the task force."
The interim report, released on Feb. 12, outlines measures to improve public safety, protect the environment, establish a designed trail network, empower landowners, and provide more effective policing of recreational off-highway vehicles. The report is available on the website at www.gov.ns.ca/vp or at Access Nova Scotia centres across the province.
Comments can be submitted by e-mail to [email protected], by fax to 902-424-0580 or by mail to Voluntary Planning, Suite 600, 1690 Hollis St., Halifax, N.S. B3J 3J9.
A final report will be submitted to government when completed.
