Repaving Route 210
Route 210 in Lunenburg and Queens counties is receiving a $906,000 upgrade this year.
About five kilometres of Route 210 from Molega Lake Road to Buckfield Road at Buckfield will be repaved.
"This is a major investment in the two counties served by this road," said Transportation and Public Works Minister Ron Russell. "Residents will see significant improvements to the road and enjoy the benefits for years to come."
Dexter Construction was awarded the contract. Work is to be completed by Aug. 31.
The Department of Transportation and Public Works highways division manages more than 23,000 kilometres of roads in Nova Scotia. It maintains an inventory of 3,800 bridges and operates seven provincial ferries. Staff provide services from district offices located in Bridgewater, Bedford, Truro and Sydney.
