4-H Members Attend National Conference
Two Nova Scotia 4-H members will have the opportunity to explore agriculture related careers when they attend the National 4-H Careers Conference, entitled My Future, My Choice, in Winnipeg from Wednesday, March 31 to Sunday, April 4.
"It is important to educate youth on careers in agriculture to ensure the future sustainability of our industry," said Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Chris d'Entremont. "This conference will provide the delegates with valuable information that will assist them in making important career decisions."
The 4-H members will learn about the agriculture industry and its important contribution to Canada's economy. The program will consist of industry visits and tours, career counseling seminars and simulated job interviews with representatives from government and industry.
Nova Scotia recipients of travel awards are: Robert Heighton, River John, Pictou Co., and Josh Dillman, Middle Musquodoboit, Halifax Co. They will join 16 other delegates from across Canada and 40 senior 4-H members from Manitoba.
