Doctors to Vote on New Contract

Health Minister Angus MacIsaac welcomed news today, March 17, of a tentative agreement for a new contract with Nova Scotia doctors.

"This contract was negotiated with the interests of Nova Scotians in mind, and I'm hopeful that doctors across the province will vote to accept it," said Mr. MacIsaac. "I think Department of Health and Medical Society representatives were able to negotiate a contract that is fair to doctors, their patients and taxpayers."

Details of the contract will not be shared publicly until doctors have voted. The results will be announced by the Medical Society of Nova Scotia.
