Task Force Extends Public Feedback Deadline

VOLUNTARY PLANNING BOARD -Task Force Extends Public Feedback Deadline

The Voluntary Planning Task Force on Off-Highway Vehicles has extended the deadline for public input on its off-highway vehicle interim report.

The public now has until Wednesday, March 31 to submit their comments to the task force.

"It's important that people have enough time to read the report and make comments or recommendations," said David Bellefontaine, chair of the task force. "It is an extensive document, and we continue to encourage feedback from Nova Scotians."

The interim report, released on Feb. 12, outlines measures to improve public safety, protect the environment, establish a designated trail network, empower landowners, and provide more effective policing of recreational off-highway vehicles. The report is available online at www.gov.ns.ca/vp or at Access Nova Scotia centres across the province.

Comments can be submitted by e-mail to [email protected], by fax at 902-424-0580 or by mail to Voluntary Planning, Suite 600, 1690 Hollis St., Halifax, N.S., B3J 3J9.

A final report will be submitted to government when completed.

For more information on the interim report or to receive a copy by mail, contact voluntary planning at 902-424-5682 or toll-free at 1-866-858-5850.
