Museum of Industry to Showcase Farm Exhibits
March Break at the Museum of Industry in Stellarton, won't just be fun this year, it will be FARM-TASTIC! From March 16 to March 21, there will be many ways to have fun at the museum and learn about Nova Scotia's billion-dollar agriculture industry.
Visitors will be able to watch chicks hatch, meet Sweetie the calf, see a pair of young goats and a trio of ducks, and feel the softness of a newborn lamb. In addition to the resident animals, there will be special guests at the museum, including miniature horses, beginning Tuesday, March 16.
During FARM-TASTIC! visitors will also be able to make butter or ice cream, act out animal tales in the Storytime Theatre, and learn where certain foods comes from. There will be colouring activities, guessing games, videos and more. Visitors are also invited to learn about Nova Scotia's industrial past by viewing the museum's permanent exhibits. The Pantry Kitchen restaurant will be open throughout the week with freshly baked treats and lunches.
The museum's permanent exhibits will be open from Saturday, March 13 to Sunday, March 21. The special guests will begin arriving on Tuesday, March 16.
