Deadline For Legislative Page Program Extended
Murray Scott, Speaker of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, announced today, Feb. 25, that the application deadline for the 2004-05 Legislative Page Program has been extended to March 5.
"Due to the closures of educational institutions during the recent snowstorm, the application deadline has been extended," said Mr. Scott. "Employment as a legislative page offers a unique educational opportunity and the chance to experience the legislative process while it happens."
The program is open to post-secondary students or recent graduates. When the House of Assembly is in session, legislative pages provide a variety of services to Members of the Legislative Assembly, legislative and government officials and the public.
