Highways Update

Provincial snow clearing crews are making good progress on paved roads following record-breaking snowfall across Nova Scotia.

The 100-Series highway network is open and almost all trunks and routes in Nova Scotia are 100 per cent cleared.

The provincewide state of emergency is still in effect and public safety is the number one concern. Nova Scotians are asked to remain patient and stay off the roads to give work crews time and room to clean highways and local roads.

Following is an update of snow clearing activity on Nova Scotia roads by area or county as of 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 21. Equipment is being redirected to areas where the need is greatest.
