Minister Welcomes Nurses Union Agreement

Health Minister Angus MacIsaac welcomed news today, Jan. 28, that acute care nurses across the province who are members of the Nova Scotia Nurses Union (NSNU) have voted in favour of a new, three- year agreement.

The NSNU announced the results of the vote today.

"I am very pleased to learn of the agreement," said Mr. MacIsaac. "I would like to extend congratulations to the negotiating teams who were able to reach an agreement at the bargaining table."

The agreement is effective from Nov. 1, 2003 to Oct. 31, 2006.
