Holiday Message 2003

The holidays are a time of joy and peace here in Nova Scotia, across Canada, and throughout the world. They are a time of giving and goodwill, a time to be thankful for the blessings in our lives and to celebrate with our families and friends.

From Hurricane Juan to the spring floods, this past year brought with it many challenges for Nova Scotians. The people in our province have always embodied the spirit of kindness and generosity associated with Christmas. This year, perhaps more than others, we can be proud of the way in which we came together to help one another in times of need.

My wife, Genesta, joins me in wishing you the happiest of holidays and all the best for a peaceful and happy new year. May the blessings of the season be with you now and always.
