Bordeaux 2000 Wines Introduced
The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, in partnership with Franklin Imports Inc. and the Bordeaux wine trade, is proud to introduce to Nova Scotia consumers a select number of Bordeaux 2000 vintage wines.
Bordeaux, the famous wine region in southwest France that includes many chateau "cottages" built by the French in the 18th and 19th centuries, is famous for producing the finest, and some of the most expensive, wines in the world.
Wine Spectator Magazine has ranked the 2000 Bordeaux as the "best vintage since 1961."
"By working closely with our wine suppliers we are able to provide wines of this calibre and price point to the Nova Scotia consumer," said John Strickey, NSLC vice-president of merchandising and marketing.
The 2000 Bordeaux, which range in price from $14 to $35, are now available in limited quantities at these Nova Scotia liquor stores: Agricola Street, Bayers Lake Park, Clyde Street, Port of Wines (Doyle Street), Quinpool Road and Rockingham Ridge in Halifax; Downsview Mall (Lower Sackville); Tantallon; Bedford Place (Bedford); Penhorn Mall (Dartmouth); Antigonish, New Glasgow, Truro, Port Hawkesbury, Sydney River, Bridgewater, Kentville, Wolfville and Yarmouth.
