Sherbrooke Show & Shine Not Just for Corvettes
The 9th annual Sherbrooke Show & Shine is gearing up to welcome all makes of vintage and classic cars. The event will also recognize 50 years of the Chevy Corvette.
The show takes place on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in and around the ballfield next to Sherbrooke Village. George Brothers & Old Blue will perform at the courthouse at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 5 as a special early-bird event.
"We have awards for vehicles, from antiques to '80s muscle cars," said Wilfred "Sonny" Alexander, Show & Shine chair. "While we're showcasing Corvettes, we have lots of great things in store for all our exhibitors."
Following the annual evening cruise on Saturday night, the Show & Shine will offer a free mussel boil for all registered participants. All car owners will be eligible to win the grand prize draw of a NASCAR weekend in Florida. A live band will perform at the Saturday night dance, where each registered car owner will receive one free admission.
