ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Granville Road Granville Road at Croscup Brook has a 35-metre partial, one-lane closure for emergency repairs, beginning Monday, Aug. 18 until further notice. Damaged wooden cross culvert will be removed and replaced with two concrete pipes. No alternative access to Victoria Beach. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Pomquet Monks Head Road The Pomquet Monks Head Road will be closed to traffic until further notice to allow for emergency replacement of a damaged culvert. Motorists are asked to use Taylor's Road for access into Pomquet from the Trans-Canada Highway.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Route 311 Route 311, for 5.3 kilometres from Onslow Road to the Stewarts Bridge, has intermittent one-lane closures to facilitate ditching, culvert work and repaving until Friday, Oct. 31. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons and a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Sandy Gillis Bridge Sandy Gillis Bridge, Judique, has a one-lane closure, for bridge replacement and approaches until Friday, Oct. 31. Traffic control will consist of traffic lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Trunk 19 Crews are surface paving and ditching about four kilometres of Trunk 19, from River Denys Mountain Road northerly. One lane will be closed. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31. A pilot vehicle and flag staff will provide traffic control. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Trunk 4 About 7.6 kilometres of Trunk 4, from the south side of River Bourgeois Road easterly to Highway 104, will be surface paved, ditched and culverted. The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31. Work will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Traffic control is with pilot vehicle and flag persons.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Trunk 10 Trunk 10, for eight kilometres between Lunenburg Co. Line and Ridge Road, has a one-lane closure, alternate sides, for repaving until Friday, Oct. 31. Alternate route is Ridge Road. Traffic control consists of a pilot vehicle and traffic control persons. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Whites Lake Brook Bridge Whites Lake Brook Bridge on Route 333 has concrete repair work and rail replacement until Tuesday, Sept. 30. Traffic control consists of barriers along the north edge. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Railroad Overpass The Highway 101 railroad overpass structure near Stillwater is undergoing repairs until Sunday, Aug. 31. Traffic will be stopped during blasting. Also, motorists are advised there will be trucks crossing Highway 101 near the structure for the duration of the work. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. A detour is available on Trunk 1, Exit 3 at Mount Uniacke, to Exit 4 at St. Croix. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101 Highway 101 from Mount Uniacke to Stillwater overpass will be shifting two-way traffic flow from the old lanes to the new lanes until Tuesday, Sept. 30. Speed limit will be reduced to 80 kilometres per hour for the duration of construction. Traffic control consist of traffic control persons and signage. A detour is available on Trunk 1, Exit 3 at Mount Uniacke, to Exit 4 at St. Croix.

HANTS COUNTY: Walton Woods Bridge Walton Woods Bridge on Walton Woods Road is closed for repairs until Friday Sept. 5. Traffic control consists of detour signs. A detour is available on Walton Woods Road to Bancroft Road and then to Route 215.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Margaree Harbour Bridge Crews are working on construction of the new Margaree Harbour Bridge. Motorists using the current bridge should watch for ongoing construction activities in the area. Traffic will be delayed occasionally. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The new bridge is expected to be in service by December. The removal of the old bridge is expected to be complete by September 2004.

INVERNESS/VICTORIA: Cabot Trail Cabot Trail at Lake O'Law, from 2.4 kilometres north of westside Middle River northerly, about 7 kilometres, will have a one-lane closure for repairs until Tuesday, Aug. 19. Traffic control will consist of a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Mill Lake Road Underpass Mill Lake Road Underpass at Exit 6, Hubbards, on Highway 103, will be narrowing lanes to 3.1 metres (10 feet) for repairs until Tuesday, Sept. 30. Traffic control will consist of traffic signals. A detour is required for wide loads (loads wider than 3.1 metres) on exit ramps to detour. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Carmichael Road Toney River Bridge on Carmichael Road in Pictou County is closed until further notice. Traffic control consists of signage. A detour is available on Popular Hill Road and Meadowville Station Road.

PICTOU COUNTY: Weir's Bridge on Shore Road Weir's Bridge on Shore Road (Trunk 6 at Caribou River to Three Brooks Road) will be closed for repairs until Friday, Aug. 22. Detours are available on Otter Road and R. Grant Road. Work takes place 24 hours a day.

REGION OF QUEENS: Highway 103 Highway 103 has alternating lanes closures for road repairs until Monday, Sept. 15.
